Located on the Northern West coast of the island, the city of Calvi, capital city of Balagne, occupies a privileged spot in Corsica thanks to its exceptional climactic conditions and its gorgeous surroundings.
Thanks to its international airport (Calvi Sainte Catherine) and its harbour, as well as the closeby harbour of Ile Rousse, which are all very well served, Calvi is very easy to access.
Surrounded by mountains from where start the famous GR20, Calvi is also hemmed by the Mediterranean sea with its 5 km long sand beach where you can enjoy a myriad of water sports and which is right next to a 32ha pine woods, ideal for nice family strolls or romantic walks.
You may also enjoy the “Chemin des Douaniers” (which translates into “the customs path”). A few miles away, towards the center of the island, you will find shaded forests and refreshing rivers but also the roads of Vine and Artisans which will help you uncover marvelous authentic villages.
Calvi’s citadel (fortress), a historical building, seems to be floating on the water and offers an unobstructed view over the bay and the harbour.
By nightfall, you will find there a delightful place to end the day, having a drink on a terrace overlooking the sea, or dancing to the sound of the piano bar.
And let’s not forget about our local food which will delight your palate. To sum up, Calvi does not lack activities, from sailing to diving, to jet-skiing, but also hiking and trekking, biking, four-wheel driving, or simply enjoying a relaxing moment, dipping your toes in the water.
This little piece of heaven has everything you dream of to make your memories unforgettable.
